Nursery Rhymes 4 Questionable Times

Nursery Rhymes for Questionable Times (NR4QT)  showcased artwork from five local Philadelphia-area artists who used playful childhood aesthetics to explore the challenges of being a grown-up.

The exhibition featured multiple interactive components. Visitors were welcomed by a hopscotch game at the entrance and additional chalk-drawn call-to-actions on the floor guided them from piece to piece.

 

Other elements included themed fortune tellers to encourage conversation and a cozy pillow fort for resting and doodling. A subtle mural on the walls created a warm, inviting atmosphere.

To maintain the playful tone, I wrote the show statement as a whimsical poem, and included the same rhyming pattern to the wayfinding components and print collateral.
